Before we start building your guitar speed, it's important that you have a good foundation. That's why in the first lesson I'll show you ways to build your foundation before increasing your speed. I'll show you step-by-step systems you can start following.

Lesson 2: Alternate Picking

Most of fast guitar speed is having the right technique. Although there's lots of different techniques people use, for fast guitar speed I recommend starting with Alternate picking.

I'll show you the tricks to alternate picking on guitar, and how to know when to alternate pick while reading music.

Lesson 3: Using The Right Pick

Using the right type of guitar pick is also very important when it comes to guitar speed. There's many different types of picks, and I'll show you the best ones to use when it comes to speed.

There's a few types I recommend for smooth picking.

Lesson 4: Picking Technique

Now that you are using the right pick, and are alternate picking we'll go into advanced picking technique. Playing fast on guitar isn't just about moving your hand back-and-forth. There's a certain technique to playing fast.

Lesson 5: Picking Angles

Once you reach a certain level of speed, you may have to start using 'Picking Angles', This is when you angle the pick a certain way to increase how fast you can switch strings.

Using picking angles is usually what breaks speed barriers for most guitar players. Once you get a good grasp of 'Picking Angles', it helps with your speed.

Lesson 6: Hammer-ons & Pull-offs

A lot of great guitar players use hammer-ons & pull-offs to increase their guitar speed. It's a way to sound really fast on guitar, without having to pick every note. In this lesson I'll teach you techniques to play clean hammer-ons & pull-offs, and show you how to use them to increase your guitar speed.

Lesson 7: Learning The Right Songs

Once you have a good grasp of the techniques & lessons, it's important to have a plan going forward. That's why in this lesson I'll talk about choosing the right songs to help increase your guitar speed. Learning faster & faster guitar songs can challenge you and help you increase your speed.

Lesson 8: Practicing Exercises & Scales

The last thing we'll go over is using exercises & scales to increase your guitar speed. I'll give you exercises I've used, and scales you can practice to work on increasing your guitar speed. Even using these are a warmup for 10 minutes before practicing can help.
